2025 Spearpoint Spotlight

Will Power!

At Outreach25, we know that change starts with people like you. Every act of kindness, every dollar, and every moment of your time brings us closer to achieving our mission. There are people going through really heavy times in their lives and they need our help. Together we can create that hope they desperately need. We have been helping the Leko family since their son was little.  As time has gone by, Will’s condition has deteriorated and the family is entering a time of high expenses.  Kyle and Baylee both work and the family has insurance; however, that isn’t enough.  It is our belief that mom and dad need to spend time with Will and not have to work multiple jobs just to try and pay medical bills.

This is where Outreach25 can help.  This is a mission of love. Our Board and volunteers don’t get paid. We believe in the goodness and generosity of strangers to help each other.  We see it in times of distress after storms or other mass casualty events.  We can all reflect on our own blessings and maybe dig a little to find a few dollars to help this family.  They are a very humble family and don’t want to ask for help, but as a friend of the family, their financial need is growing daily. We are doing what we can and now are asking everyone to stand in the gap with us.

Will is a 9 year old boy battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. There is no cure at this time. Although he is still ambulatory, this precious family realizes that they are going to need medical equipment and modifications to their van to get Will mobile as he continues to deteriorate. Our goal for this 24 hour event is $10,000 but honestly they need a lot more than that to help cover medical expenses.

We are teamed up with Zeffy to process credit cards and they cover all of the processing fees so 100% of your donations will go to the family. Outreach will pay the family in grants which shouldn’t be taxable so that they can maximize the use of your generous gifts. Although Outreach25 is still in the process of finalizing our 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, all donations will receive a tax letter once our application for tax exemption is approved by the IRS. Thank you so much for your consideration in helping us help Will and his family.

Thank you for supporting our mission, your support is invaluable!  If you cannot give financially, Will has an ongoing Books For Blessings campaign where we take books in new condition, sell them, and give the proceeds to the family. Contact us if you need more information.
